Evan started his career at Nowait, an early-stage startup in Pittsburgh, where he was the 26th employee and joined as an account executive. Three years later the company was acquired by Yelp, and he was hooked on the startup experience. Over the following decade he worked across multiple early-stage startups, focused on the hardest part of the journey: validating the concept, building the first team, and driving initial growth. Along the way he saw first-hand how different the skill set of building is from the skill set of scaling, and how much outside mentorship and experienced perspective matter when you are doing it for the first time. He joined Enjoy The Work out of a deep appreciation for entrepreneurial courage and the challenge of building from scratch, and now spends his days giving founders access to the people and advice that shorten the road from zero to one.
